For students who live too far away to commute every day, the school provides accommodation in its own modern, newly renovated first-category dormitory. Thanks to its smaller capacity, the dormitory has an almost family atmosphere.
- Students are accommodated in single, double and triple rooms with modern furniture and their own bathroom (WC, shower).
- Breakfast (buffet) and dinner are served in the dormitory dining room.
- Students have room here both to study and to relax. There are furnished rooms for preparing for lessons, creative activities, listening to music and watching videos, as well as a library and a fitness centre.
- Wi-Fi is available throughout the dormitory.
- There is something for everyone at the dormitory: a fully equipped fitness centre, table tennis, billiards, a library, a creative workshop and a cookery centre.
- Students take part in sports tournaments, cooking competitions, excursions, walks in the surrounding countryside and many other activities.

Free time
The dormitory's teaching staff prepare a varied range of leisure activities for all students of the school.
Sport
Sports – ball games (every Tuesday in the school gym), table tennis, zumba, aerobics, weight training (in the dormitory), swimming, and weekend hiking, skiing and cycling trips. The school organises and takes part in many sports tournaments between dormitories and secondary schools, and the international sports day with students from our partner school in Bad Leonfelden, Austria, has a long tradition.
Culture and creative workshop
From the range of cultural events we pick tips for theatre and cinema performances and art exhibitions. Books, CDs and DVDs, including titles from the recommended reading list, can be borrowed free of charge from the dormitory library. The creative workshop offers relaxation through art therapy (ceramics, arranging fresh and dried flowers, textile and other art techniques).
Environmental education
As part of the EVVO environmental education project, students learn about ecological ways of using agricultural land, maintaining balance in the landscape, alternative energy sources and handling recyclable waste: an excursion to an organic farm, an expedition to Český ráj, a field seminar along the Klostermann Trail, the school-wide Po zelené competition, the Pohodová třída competition, and students helping to build and maintain the dormitory garden.
School celebrations and gatherings
School celebrations take place in the pleasant surroundings of the assembly hall in the Zátka building in Fráni Šrámka Street: welcome meetings with new students and their parents, the presentation of vocational certificates, maturita certificates and diplomas, and social evenings. The atmosphere is completed by students' singing, music and recitation performances. The same rooms are also used for meetings between our students and interesting personalities and experts at courses, seminars and talks.
Every year the school's students meet at the cultural centre for a showcase of their leisure activities – the Workshop – and the announcement of the results of the Personality of the Year poll in the categories of professional skills, sportsman – sportswoman, artistic leisure activities and ethical deed of the year.
Charity projects
A traditional form of ethics education is the students' annual participation in the charity and awareness projects Red Ribbon, World AIDS Day and Bílá pastelka (in cooperation with Tyfloservis).
School magazine
Since 2002 the school magazine Koktejl has captured important events and interesting stories from school life in words and pictures.
Education outside lessons is described in detail in the dormitory's school curriculum.
